Pop singer Mariah Carey is reportedly expecting a baby boy with husband Nick Cannon and is set to reveal further details on her pregnancy in the coming weeks. Despite months of speculation, the 'Touch My Body' hitmaker is yet to confirm she is pregnant, but sources claim that she is having a son and her superstitious nature has prevented her from revealing anything yet, reported Contactmusic. "She's having a boy, but the reason that Mariah didn't want to say anything is because she is 40, and she's superstitious. But she's going to appear on 'Oprah' and 'The View', so she's planning on making the announcement soon," said a source. Carey stopped drinking alcohol earlier this year and gained weight due to undergoing fertility treatment with the hope of having a child. “The fertility drugs were the reason for her weight gain earlier this year. She stopped drinking back in March or April," the source added.

There's some bad news for those of you who are in love with the Akshay Kumar endorsed Micromax Mobiles.  The news  is that, Akki will no longer be able to say "It twinkles!" in the ad, while his wifey dearest Twinkle Khanna flashes a 'Micromax Bling' phone. Reason? Well, Delhi High Court has restrained Micromax, from selling or advertising the 'Bling' brand as it acceded to a trademark violation filed by Delhi-based mobile phone  maker Bling Telecom. The order states that the court has restrained Micromax, including its employees, agents, representatives, or anyone acting on their behalf, from using the trademark 'Bling' or any other name confusingly similar till the next date of hearing, February 8, 2011. The court order (dated October 19, 2010), restrains the said company from displaying the Bling ads on TV and print. 'Gangaur', based on celebrated writer Mahasweta Devi's tale of a young tribal woman living in the Naxal belt of India, is the only Indian entry in  competition  at the prestigious Rome Film Festival. Directed by reknowned Italian helmer Italo Spinelli, the film is an adaptation of Mahasweta's famous story 'Choli Ke Peeche' and will premiere at the festival on October 31. The story revolves around a tribal woman whose is ostracised from her community and raped after she is clicked while breast-feeding her child by a foreign photographer. Veteran journalist Divang who plays the editor of a newspaper in the film said that the cast along with the author will be present at the film's international premiere. "I had met Italo 11 years ago and had given him a copy of the book. He has been wanting to make the film for long and he visited Mahasweta in Kolkata to ask for permission to do so before filming," said Divang. Source: Indian Express

Yesterday Akshay Kumar's sister Alka hosted a pre-karva chauth   bash   at her salon in Andheri. And Bollywood wives showed up to get mehndi applied on their hands along with a few spa treatments. Although every year   B-Town biwis gather together and carry out the rituals, this is the first time someone hosted a pre-karva chauth party at a salon. Keeps 'em happy Twinkle has been observing the one-day fast ever since she married Akshay.
