Deepika to walk ramp for Farah Khan Ali at jewellery week



Model-turned-Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will be the showstopper for popular jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali at the inaugural India International Jewellery Week (IIJW), starting in Mumbai Sunday.
“Said I would announce the showstopper. She is beautiful, warm and a stunner. She is none other than Deepika Padukone. Thank you babe,” Farah, who will showcase her collection on the opening day of the jewellery week, posted on her Twitter page.
The five-day IIJW, hosted by Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India (GJEPC), will see collections from a melange of 30 designers, including Farah, Varun D. Jani, Bina Goenka and Rhea Nasta. Well-known jewellery brands like Mirari, Gitanjali, Amrapali, Tanishq and Ganjam will also participate in it.
The event is to be held at the Hotel Grand Hyatt, in Santa Cruz.
It will also feature 1,600 stalls displaying the works of 776 exhibitors, and participants from Thailand, Belgium, Israel, Italy, Turkey and the UAE will also set up their stalls.
